Mass Effect: Pretty Good Game
I've been playing a lot of Mass Effect since I get a new Xbox360, and so far I like it quite a bit. It's far from perfect and it moves pretty slow if you try to play all the side missions, and the side quests are pretty repetitive. But I like it. It's a squad based space RPG of the "4x" variety, but with only 2 Xs: explore and exterminate. And level-up along the way.
I'm getting a little tired of the side quests, but there supposedly aren't that many main-story missions so I'll tough it out.
The game is beautiful and the story line is engaging so far. A lot of time is spent in the lame dialogue-tree mechanic, but I'm liking the story as it unfolds so I don't really mind. This game is definitely not for everyone, so if you hate switching to a lower gear from HALO or CoD4, then you'll probably hare this thing. But if you like variety, this is a nice title.
