King Kong 360

This game is pretty darn okay. It seems to be pretty easy, since I don't usually play these types of games and I am progressing quite nicely. The graphics are good. The sounds is pretty nice, too.

I'm thinking I need to put this one away until I get my surround sound system, though. I'm guessing the 5.1 mix adds a lot to the experience, and I really don't see myself playing through this game a second time. I think the surround effects could really help me figure out which way to turn when I'm getting pummeled by a little velociraptor or bitten by the clattering millipede, because Jack Black constantly yelling "Watch out!" isn't really giving me a clue. I just spin, fire, die...repeat as necessary until I get past the beast.

Like I said, I'm enjoying this game quite a bit but I don't see playing it twice. I'd like to get the full effect. Maybe I should play Burnout while I wait to get and install my surround sound system. The other games on the shelf are GUN and Condemned: Criminal Origins, but I think those two will also make excellent use of sound so I should wait on them as well.
