All Hail the Trojans
USC and Texas both did it with style by freakin' pounding the shit out of their opponents today to leave no doubt that they are indeed the right two teams to be playing for the National Championship.
It's great when it works out like that. Crybaby LSU also got spanked, so we don't have to any crap out of them either. Thank goodness. But I'm those bitches, the Auburn Pansies, will find some way to cry that they should be in the championship game even though they had two losses and didn't even win the weak SEC.
But no real controversy to speak of. That's great! USC and UT can go in and duke it out, and the winner takes all. Period.
I was getting worried about USC and their defense, but the boys stepped it up today and shut down a purty darn good UCLA offense. I've got high hopes for the Trojans and their quest for a three-peat.
Texas is a really good team, but their defense is not at all used to seeing the kind of fire power that Bush/Leinert/White bring to the table. I think they will be a little shocked come game time, but not nearly as shell-shocked as that pretender Sooners were last year.
The USC defense is also pretty good. The numbers are pretty misleading because they have played some really good offenses all year. Vince Young might be in for a little surprise himself. I am a little worried by him because he has become a much better passer this year, but the key is still to just focus on Young and make him beat you passing. It won't be easy, but I think Trojans will get 'er done.
